Fishing Classes

I will be offering fishing instructions with reasonable rates. The instructions are meant primarily for first time anglers, parents and thier children.

 

We will be covering, basic knots,  types of  reels/rods, rigs,  casting, terminal tackle,  baits,artificials,  structures and then try your hand  at fishing.

 

Knots - Palomar knot,  improved clinch knot, double surgeons knot, trilene knot, arbor knot plus some specialty knots.

 

Reels- Spincasting, spinning, and bait casting.

 

Rigs- Slip rig,  casting rig, slip bobber, and trout rig.

 

Casting- Depending which rod/reel you choose.

 

Terminal tackle- Hooks, sinkers, floats, swivels and line.

 

Baits- Live bait,(worms, minnows, insects), cut bait, and store bought bait.

 

Artificials- Most common lures, spinners, spinnerbaits, grubs, worms, and hardbaits.

 

Structures- Basically, where to cast, around rocks, riprap, trees, weeds, etc.

 

Fishing- Once all the basics have been learned, you will try you hand at actual fishing.
